小伙伴们知道结婚用英语怎么说呢？大家是不是都想到了marry呢？不过小沃告诉大家“marry”不是“结婚”，“married with sb”也不是和某人结婚的意思。大家产生了很多误解哦。
marry≠结婚
在英文中，我们要表达“嫁给某人/娶某人”的话，直接用“marry sb”就好，在该短语中marry用作及物动词。要表达“结婚”的话，我们可以使用“get married”，该短语是常用和为地道的表达。
当“marry sb”表示“嫁给某人”时：
I'm going to ask her to marry me on St Valentine's Day.
我打算在情人节向她求婚。
当“marry sb”表示“娶某人”时：
I will never marry another woman if you should die before me.
万一你比我先死的话，我决不会再娶其他女人。
要表达“某某某结婚”，“get married”才是的表达：
No one expects young people in a tough global economy with a high cost of living to find a mate and get married right away.
世界经济发展受阻，生活成本居高不下，在这样的背景下没有人指望年轻人能够迅速找到对象并结婚。
“married with sb”并不是“和某人结婚”
除了前面提到过的“marry sb”的表达方法外，我们还可以使用“get married to sb”或“be married to sb”，介词是“to”，不是“with”，千万可要记住啦！

marry money
小沃问过一个朋友“marry money”是什么意思，这家伙直接回了一句“嫁给钱”，估计很多朋友跟他一样，直接按照字面意思就给翻译了。其实，“marry money”真正的意思是指“和有钱人结婚”。

married with a child
如果说一看到“married with a child”，你就把它翻译成“和孩子结婚”，那你就大错特错了，而且这也说明你的英文水平还有很大的提升空间。其实，“married with a child”指的是“已婚并有一个孩子”，这下你明白了吧？

get hitched
接下来，小沃再给大家拓展一下下关于“结婚”的其他说法，非常涨姿势哦。首先，“get hitched”就是老外常用的一个表达，表示“结婚”。为什么呢？和marriage一点关系都木有啊，其实“hitch”有“勾住（牵手）”的意思，所以“get hitched”可以用来表达结婚！

tie the knot
其次，“tie the knot”也是一个可以用来表示“结婚”的表达。knot有“结，蝴蝶结”的意思，而tie则表示“系”，因此该短语表示“喜结良缘，永结同心”，可以用作关于“结婚”短语的同义替换。
